Life of a Magistrate !

A dias full of files ,

A spectre full of lies ;

A situation of instant affray , 

Welcome to this ordered disarray !


Eyes , ears, mind , body ,

Together come to play ;

"SIR , my file is in order , 

SIR, my file is in hearing " ,

Hey wait , I am Madam by the way !


Brothers disputing ancestral property ,

Friends fighting over "trust-laced" cheques;

Somewhere the cruelty has been too much,

Somewhere the recent marriage is in wrecks!


Lawyers , clients,  assertions ,denials ,

Substantive, procedural , extended trials;

The satisfaction of getting there just in time 

The soreness that befalls when file lives and life dies!


Action plan, agendas , meetings all day ,

Within a blink of an eye , the next day is in sway;

Still getting on , still working without delay ,

To secure the trust and faith of those who belive in this , who constantly pray !

Delay in civil cases !

Adjournments sought frequently , Hell lot of applications, a crazy facade ; Strikes , I would not call an issue , But controversial something in files , I can’t disregard ! Parties Impleaded late, Amendments brought even later ; Sometimes the files linger on , Just because somebody is somebody's’ hater ! Sometimes the processes are not served , Sometimes the parties are not in appearance ; Sometimes the supply of copies is flawed , No possible limit for a Magistrates’ forbearance . Applications- Replications , Revisions - modifications ; Be accommodative . Serve justice . Use this and that Tact , When there is only so much to be done adversely ,  As the phrase “interest if justice “ is in itself a major fact ! Last opportunity. Last opportunity. Addresses !

 Addresses!  So this morning while I was ordering something from a website it automatically picked up my last address . An address for almost 3 years . And while cursing the spying technology everytime on us , I selected to edit it when it gave me options of other addresses to choose from. The saved addresses .  And while I was looking at those addresses .  My life was looking back at me .  And there that was . Several addresses . Several lives ! Addresses reflecting a shy ill prepared girl  Who has just stepped onto this new world  On her own. Reserved and calm . Addresses of that sense of belongingness  With friends . Of the laughter and endless findings . Addresses that found that first love and the first lost love equally . That ecstasy of happiness and that ecstasy of pain .
